OpenAI Plans to 'Dismiss All of Elon's Claims'

The San Francisco-based generative AI company OpenAI is responding to the recent lawsuit by former OpenAI co-founder Elon Musk against OpenAI and co-founders Sam Altman and Greg Brockman. The suit alleges breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and unfair competition, among other claims. OpenAI — started as a nonprofit and governed by one today — says it realized building AGI will “require far more resources than we’d initially imagined,” and “Elon recognized a for-profit entity would be necessary to acquire those resources.” OpenAI says that it is developing AI tools that are widely available, including the free version of ChatGPT. “We’re sad that it's come to this with someone whom we’ve deeply admired,” OpenAI says, before posting several emails it claims are by Musk and support its position. Musk has since posted on X images of the OpenAI logo as “ClosedAI.”

SAP Unveils Joule

Joule is designed for SAP Analytics Cloud to automate the creation of reports, dashboards and plans. The automation is enabled by SAP HANA Cloud vector engine capabilities, which combine LLMs with a company’s data. "Capturing data to make better decisions is an enterprise technology imperative that's become increasingly critical as AI – which relies on quality data – revolutionizes every aspect of business," said Juergen Mueller, CTO, SAP.
