SAN FRANCISCO — The AI marketing platform Jasper hired a leader to shape the company’s technical vision and incorporate industry trends and customer needs in its road map.
Jasper named Melody Meckfessel its CTO, according to the company this month.
Most recently, Meckfessel served as co-founder and CEO of Observable, a data visualization platform, growing the company to its first enterprise customers.
"Her experience building disruptive technology and scaling global platforms make her the perfect fit for Jasper's next phase of growth," said Timothy Young, CEO, Jasper. "Melody will not only own our technical vision, but will also be a vital voice in the industry, helping us accelerate product delivery and customer success."

Meckfessel has over 25 years of experience in building and maintaining "large-scale distributed systems."
Previously, Meckfessel served as VP of engineering at Google, where she led engineering teams in core infrastructure, search and DevOps, including for Google Cloud. She played a key role in developing Google's Cloud's tools and systems.
Meckfessel also served as engineering director and engineering manager at Google as well as director of technology at Sapient, according to LinkedIn.
Early in her career, she was a software engineer at OpenOrders.
