SINGAPORE — The insurance and asset management firm Prudential PLC hired an executive to accelerate its use of data and AI across business functions.
Prudential PLC named Grace Park its chief data, analytics and AI officer, according to the firm last week.
She is based in Singapore and reports to Ashley Veasey, CIO at Prudential PLC.
Most recently, Park served as chief analytics officer at Manulife Asia.
"Grace will partner with teams across our markets and functions to strengthen our capabilities in data and analytics," Veasey said. "This is critical to helping us make better decisions, provide a better customer experience and build innovative AI-powered tools and products — a huge area of opportunity for Prudential."

Park is responsible for using AI to "enable growth and deliver efficiencies" at the company and the development of a data strategy.
She has over 20 years of global experience in financial services, technology and consulting.
Previously, Park held senior roles at Standard Chartered Bank, LG Electronics, Boston Consulting Group and Kearney.
She holds a B.A. in English language and literature from Yonsei University and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, according to LinkedIn.
