Agentic AI

Agentic AI marks the shift from tools to autonomous systems. Instead of answering questions or generating content on demand, AI agents plan, decide and act across workflows with minimal human intervention.

VKTR's Agentic AI channel covers how enterprises design, deploy and govern agentic systems. From multi-agent orchestration to security, reliability and organizational impact, we focus on what it takes to move from experimental bots to trusted digital workers at scale.

What Is Agentic AI?

Agentic AI refers to the artificial intelligence systems that can plan, decide and take actions on their own to achieve goals, rather than just responding to prompts or generating outputs on demand.

Unlike traditional AI tools (chatbots, copilots, prediction models) that wait for human instructions at every step, agentic AI systems operate with a degree of autonomy. They can:

  • Break high-level goals into tasks
  • Decide which tools or systems to use
  • Execute actions across software and workflows
  • Monitor outcomes and adjust their behavior
  • Coordinate with other AI agents or humans

In short: agentic AI doesn't just assist with work — it performs the work.

How Agentic AI Is Different From Traditional AI

Traditional AIAgentic AI
Responds to promptsPursues goals autonomously
Executes single tasksManages multi-step workflows
Requires constant human direction
Operates with minimal supervision
Produces recommendations
Takes real-world actions
Static output
Continuous decision loops

A chatbot that answers questions is not agentic. An AI that books meetings, updates CRM records, triggers workflows and escalates issues based on outcomes is agentic.
