    Perplexity, an AI answer engine, released Perplexity Enterprise Pro, its first B2B offering that's designed for security and control.

    5. HubSpot Rolls Out AI Updates

    HubSpot included several AI updates in its "spotlight" of spring product updates.

    6. Sony Deploys AI Sensors in Stores to Track Advertising

    Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation installed edge AI vision detection sensors at 500 convenience store locations in Japan to measure in-store advertising.

    7. SK Hynix Plans $14B AI Chip Plant

    SK Hynix is planning to invest over $14 billion on a new memory chip plant for AI applications at its complex in Cheongju, South Korea.

    8. NVIDIA Acquiring Run:ai

    NVIDIA reached an agreement to acquire Run:ai, a GPU orchestration software provider based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

    9. UK’s CMA Investigating Microsoft and Amazon Deals

    The U.K. Competition & Markets Authority (CMA) opened invitations to comment on the partnerships between Microsoft and Mistral AI and Amazon and Anthropic as well as Microsoft’s hiring of former employees and related arrangements with Inflection AI. The comments would pertain to if the companies' activities fall within U.K. merger rules and their "impact" on competition in the U.K.

    10. Los Angeles County Using AI to Predict Homelessness

    The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services and Department of Mental Health have been partnering with UCLA’s California Policy Lab on the Homeless Prevention Unit, which uses AI to reportedly help the agencies predict when people are at risk of becoming homeless and in need of aid, according to CNBC.

    11. Xaira Therapeutics Raises $1B

    Xaira Therapeutics, an biotechnology company using AI help develop medicine, secured over $1 billion in capital and launched. The company, founded in 2023, is focused on machine learning for biological research, data generation for new models and therapeutic product development to treat disease.

    12. Perplexity Secures $62M

    Perplexity, an AI answer engine, raised an additional $62.7 million in financing, which includes investments from existing investors NVIDIA and Jeff Bezos.
