What can the AI tools do for users?

SAN FRANCISCO — The AI answer engine Perplexity developed two new tools for users.

Perplexity released Internal Knowledge Search for users to search their internal files and Perplexity Spaces for collaborative research projects, according to the company this week.

Internal Knowledge Search is intended to allow users to search both the web and their company's internal knowledge bases to access and "synthesize" information from sources to get answers.

For instance, users can search internal research documents, call notes, employee benefits and sales collateral.

The company says several enterprise customers are using the tool, such as NVIDIA, Databricks and Dell.

Aravind Srinivas, CEO of Perplexity, says consolidating external and internal data sources will improve productivity for companies.

Perplexity also plans to integrate third-party data for users to search, such as Crunchbase and FactSet data for Enterprise Pro users who are customers of either product.

Perplexity Spaces is designed to be a collaboration hub for teams to organize information and conduct research.

User can invite collaborators, connect internal files and customize the AI assistant by selecting the underlying AI model and how it should respond.

Internal Knowledge Search and Perplexity Spaces are available under Perplexity Pro and Enterprise Pro plans.
