PORTLAND, Ore. — The communications data and intelligence company Smarsh is planning to roll out an AI agent for its enterprise surveillance product.
Smarsh’s Intelligent Agent uses large language models (LLMs) and is intended to streamline the review, escalation and disposition of alerts generated within Smarsh's Enterprise Conduct Surveillance solution, according to Smarsh this week.
The AI agent will be available as an add-on starting in 2025.
Compliance teams spend up to 80% of their time sifting through noise to find real risks, according to Smarsh.
Smarsh's Intelligent Agent is designed to proactively screen out less relevant communications before they need review. By learning from historical alert patterns and human analyst decisions, the AI agents should emulate the expertise of experienced compliance professionals.
Smarsh says the tool should help compliance teams focus on what mattest most — de-risking their organizations.
The Intelligent Agent integrates with existing compliance workflows within the Smarsh platform, enabling a consistent focus on regulatory needs, such as reliability, explainability and auditability.
"The interest we've seen from our customers in such an offering is really incredible," said Goutam Nadella, chief product officer, Smarsh. "This is clearly a pain point in the industry.”
