Dom Nicastro is an award-winning journalist, editor and media personality with over 25 years of experience covering sports, consumer trends, business and technology. He currently serves as editor-in-chief at Simpler Media Group’s CMSWire, where he leads editorial operations, manages the CMSWire contributor program and hosts CMSWire TV interviews and the CX Decoded podcast. Before joining Simpler Media Group in 2013, he served as sports editor, city editor and editor-in-chief at the Gloucester Daily Times, earning 12 regional journalism awards for investigative reporting, feature writing and editorial excellence. His work has been recognized by New England press associations for in-depth coverage of sports, education and community affairs.

Education & Personal Life

Nicastro studied journalism at Salem State College, where he was sports editor and editor of the college newspaper and a member of the 1999 league championship baseball team who broke the single season record for doubles (15) and was among the league leaders in RBI.

He lives in Manchester, NH, with his wife, Pamela, and son, Matthew, and enjoys New England sports, outdoor adventures walking and playing with his dog, Mackie, and broadcasting. He hosts Sports Desk With Dom Nicastro, a podcast covering high school and regional sports for the North Shore and Merrimack Valley. That show has been running for 12 years, starting on 1049 FM and then turning into a podcast in June 2022 on MSONewsports.com.
