Lance Haun is a leadership and technology columnist for Reworked. He has spent nearly 20 years researching and writing about HR, work and technology.

As vice president of market insights at The Starr Conspiracy, an experience agency at the heart of the work technology revolution, Lance drives strategy, research and execution with leading software and service providers focused on making work better. He's also a monthly columnist for ERE Media where he covers talent acquisition technology and innovation.

Prior to his stints multitasking as an industry voice and working behind the scenes with the leading agency in work technology, Lance spent nearly a decade as an HR practitioner and leader. He got his first paid writing job for the former career website Vault.com. He graduated with a degree in business from Washington State University's Carson College of Business.

Lance has been featured as an HR and workplace expert in publications like the Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, MSNBC, Fast Company, and other leading HR and business websites. He's also frequently tapped as a speaker at industry events as well as covering the world of work on podcasts and webinars, speaking at the SHRM Annual Conference, the HR Technology Conference and Exposition, ERE Recruiting Conference, and many other local and national events.

Lance is based at his Vancouver, Wash. home office and is occasionally joined there by his wife and adorable daughter. When he isn't thinking about work, he can be found hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest or enjoying a good craft beer.
