Nick Jackson has a passion for writing, researching and working with businesses, communities, teachers, students and technology. He provides commentary on technology developments, how they might affect education systems, teaching and learning as well as the reverse of these, sharing evolutions in education to those outside of these institutions.

Before starting a career in education, he held a variety of jobs that gave him a wide range of experiences in retail, insurance, law, banking, hospitality, social work, local government and the entertainment industry. For the last 24 years, Jackson has worked in education at universities and in schools primarily in leadership and change management roles. His life and career has involved working and networking in countries around the world. He prides himself on connecting education with industry, entrepreneurs and communities. 

Jackson is currently the leader of digital technologies at Scotch College in Adelaide, Australia and founder of Now Future Learning, providing help to educational institutions and businesses on the integration and use of generative AI. He's also the co-author of the book “The Next Word: AI & Teachers” and currently on the advisory board for The Festival of AI and Robotics. 

Jackson has presented keynotes, workshops, seminars and forums to audiences across the world. He has written several academic research papers and magazine articles, and he blogs fervently. 

Focusing on education technology, Jackson has a Ph.D. and two master's-level degrees.
