The Seoul, South Korea-based AI cancer diagnostics and therapeutics company Lunit appointed an exec to lead its sales and marketing efforts and help it expand in the U.S. and globally.
Lunit named Teri Thomas chief business officer of its cancer screening group, according to the company last month.
Thomas also serves as CEO of Volpara Health Technologies, a provider of AI breast cancer screening software, which Lunit acquired this spring.
"Her extensive experience in health care IT and proven track record of driving growth will be invaluable as we continue to expand the reach of our cancer screening technologies globally," said Brandon Suh, CEO, Lunit.

Thomas, based in New Zealand, has over 25 years of executive experience in health care IT, including operations.
Previously, Thomas served as a VP at Epic, a health care software company, and EVP of global sales, marketing and strategy at Orion Health.
She holds a B.A. in zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master of nursing science from Wintec, according to LinkedIn.
"Our combined expertise in AI and breast health presents a unique, holistic AI suite to make a significant impact on early cancer detection and ultimately, save lives," Thomas said.
