Nick's career in tech journalism started as a freelancer for The Washington Post, covering gadgets and consumer tech. Since then, he's been a reporter for B2B and B2C tech publications such as eWeek, CIOInsight and Baseline, as well as an editor at Slashdot.org and Dice.com. Despite his introverted tendencies, he's also appeared frequently on podcasts and as a guest speaker at conferences, where he's discussed everything from technical writing to the evolution of the microchip.
When not exploring the ramifications of technologies such as generative AI, he writes mystery and thriller novels; his most recent murder mystery, "Where the Bones Lie," was released in 2025 by Datura Books. He lives in Queens, NY, with his wife, daughter, and several large cats who refuse to take "no" for an answer when it comes to food.
