Steve founded MarketBuildr to help B2B startups cut through the noise, build pipeline, and grow revenue. As a Fractional CMO, Growth Advisor, and Board Member, he works closely with startup leaders to align their GTM teams around a focused ICP, sharpen positioning, craft messaging that converts, and launch campaigns that drive pipeline and revenue.
Previously, Steve oversaw the marketing of customer journey management solutions at Genesys, one of the world’s largest vendors of contact center software. Before its acquisition by Genesys, Steve led marketing at Pointillist, a customer journey analytics startup, where he oversaw global marketing and sales development. Earlier, he served as CMO and GM of Products at TandemSeven (acquired by Genpact), VP Marketing at AIR Worldwide (acquired by Verisk), and VP Products at Verbind (acquired by SAS Institute).
Over the past 20+ years, Steve has helped dozens of startups and growth-stage companies accelerate revenue by improving positioning and messaging, strengthening go-to-market strategy, and equipping GTM teams with stories that win. He holds a BS from MIT and both an MBA and PhD from Cornell.
