Episerver claims Peerius acquisition will advance personalization at scale.

Episerver today acquired London-based omnichannel personalization vendor Peerius.

Episerver, a digital experience provider with headquarters in Nashua, N.H. and Stockholm, Sweden, claims the purchase provides it with the ability to personalize at scale "on an unprecedented level."

Personalization Fueled by Analytics, Machine Learning

It adds Peerius’ smart personalization technology to the Episerver Digital Experience Cloud. It also enables Episerver's vision of autonomous personalization, which supports users in real-time with predictive and adaptive analytics that apply machine learning to big data.

Mark Duffell, president and CEO of Episerver, noted in a statement that Peerius "effectively supercharges" the Episerver Digital Experience Cloud’s ability to help businesses improve customer experiences with real-time personalization.

Roger Brown, CEO of Peerius, said joining Episerver accelerates his company's product roadmap in areas including enterprise search and pushes it into the direct-to-consumer (D2C) and business-to-business (B2B) commerce segments where Episerver has a larger footprint.

Brown will remain CEO of Peerius, an Episerver Company, reporting to Duffell.

Episerver introduced role-based personalization to its platform in 2011.
